3 Can’t Miss Events for Florida Bicycle Month in Tampa
Don’t be fooled, May is NATIONAL Bicycle Month, but in classic ahead-of-the-curve fashion, March is FLORIDA Bicycle month.
Here is what City Bike Tampa will be doing this month and we hope you can join us for all of it…

Tampa Bay Lightning Invites You to City Bike Night – It is St. Patrick’s Day and we are rolling out to watch the Bolts slam the Blues. Check out the promo flyer for deeply discounted ticketing options.
The itinerary for the evening looks like this:
- (5:00 – 6:30) Meet up at Pizza Fusion (map)
- (6:30 – 6:45) Ride to Tampa Bay Times Forum – They will have a bike corral set up with attendants to check us in. Tickets can be purchased at the advertised price upon arrival for any riders who still need them.
- (7:00) Game Time! – Tickets can also be purchased in advance by calling (813.301.6735) or you can email Josh Jones at the Forum and mention “City Bike Night” should you have questions or require additional information.

Cigar City Brewing Criterium and Street Festival – Presented by Bright House Networks is no doubt the high-point event of the month. City Bike Tampa will be set up in the Expo area and the race course is all new this year.
In addition to the day-long amateur and professional bike races, the street festival will offer spectators plenty to do and see. A few highlights include:
- Red Bull Athletics Zone – bike polo and Derby Darlins roller derby games
- UnitedHealthcare Fit Kids Duathlon
- tbt* Beer Dash
- Tampa Bay Times Cycling Parade
- Food Trucks, FL’s Longest Outdoor Bar and City Cycle Mobile Tasting Room

March 31 Urban Restaurant Tour Postponed to April 7
POSTPONED
Due to the inclement weather, we have decided to postpone the Urban Restaurant Tour to 4/7/2011.
Fortunately we have been blessed for a full year now with perfect weather every month on the night of the tour. I am happy to say that this is the very first time we have had to postpone! All of our registered guests will be transferred to next week.
Though some of you will be unable to attend due to the short notice, we do still anticipate a very good turnout.
The itinerary and menu will remain the same.
We appreciate your flexibility with rescheduling and are grateful for your understanding and support.

Holiday Hours Alert
Our Shop at 212 E. Cass Street will be open on Thursday, 12/23/2010 until 7pm as usual and on Friday, 12/24/2010 from 10am until 1pm (closing early).
We will be Closed Christmas Day and on the Sunday after Christmas reopening with normal operating hours on Tuesday, 12/28/2010.

October 28 Urban Restaurant Tour Destinations
The schedule for this month’s [costume optional] Urban Restaurant Tour of Ybor City is now set.
Click here to reserve your spot (a $5 deposit via credit card or PayPal is required). If you would prefer pay by cash, you can stop by the shop (212 E. Cass Street) anytime during normal business hours between now and 10/27/2010.
This month we will be departing from SONO Cafe (as usual) and visiting the following restaurants in Ybor City. This will be a Costume Optional Tour with a grand prize for best costume.
City Bike Tampa and it’s sponsors, REALM, SONO Cafe’ and tbt*, are proud to promote urban living and sustainability through this awesome monthly downtown event.
Join us for a night on the town the last Thursday of EVERY month. For just $5.00/person our guests will enjoy the ultimate urban dining experience! 4 hours of mouth watering menu items from 5 different restaurants in and around Downtown Tampa. Guests also receive a raffle ticket to win prizes at the end of the evening and a designated attendant to watch over the group’s bicycles at each stop.
This is a BYOB (bring your own bike) event. In compliance with state law (see Section 316.2065, F.S.), we are requiring lights and strongly encouraging helmets and locks for the tour. For your convenience, City Bike Tampa’s main location at 212 E. Cass Street will be open until 6:00 pm the day of the tour for purchase of these accessories.
City Bike Tampa’s Urban Restaurant Tour runs from 6:00 pm -10:00 pm and begins monthly at the SONO Cafe’ at the Tampa Museum of Art in the beautiful Hixon Park. Space is limited; advanced reservations and payments are required.
