Our aim is to provide you with the best quality of equipment and service to make your visit to Tampa, your daily commute, weekly rides or overall urban experience in Tampa the best and most memorable possible.
Our promise is to listen carefully to you, work closely with you to provide the confidence and expertise you should expect from a professional bicycle shop, and create an outcome that exceeds your expectations – we want you to have a bike that rides even better than you had dreamed it would.
Buying a great bike starts with great products and we are committed to brands that have long proven their value and quality. But having the right bike also means buying the one that best suits your riding goals. We work with people using all the resources of our experience, not just fixed formulas or dogmatic notions. If you know what works for you, we are happy to oblige. If you seek our professional advice, we are here to help.
Our aim is to offer you the competitive prices that you deserve, the personal touch of a local bike shop, and the experience of bicycle professionals who are committed to your satisfaction.

Through the formation of strategic alliances with local businesses and groups such as the Tampa Independent Business Alliance (TIBA), Friends of the Riverwalk, REALM, tbt*, Sono Café, Tampa Downtown Partnership, University of Tampa, University of South Florida, St Pete Times Forum, Tampa Bay & Company, Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina, Trips for Kids, Channelside Bay Plaza, Tampa Bay History Center, Tampa Convention Center, Tampa BayCycle, Tampa Greenways and Trails and the Urban Charette, City Bike Tampa has established a firm grasp on the pulse of the community.
Participating in charitable events for groups like the Lighthouse for the Blind, environmental activism promotions like “Go Green Night” at The Forum, organizing team building outings for local and visiting professionals, instructing bicyclists on proper techniques for safely navigating the urban landscape, providing tours and organized activities through Tampa Bay & Co. for visiting convention planners, weekly guided history tours and our relatively infamous “Urban Restaurant Tours” are the activities that get us and our staff out of the shop and onto the streets that we love.
When we embarked on this journey to build City Bike Tampa we selected Tampa’s downtown for a host of reasons, none of which were based on quick turnaround or “pump and dump” style business tactics. We came to build a business with a long term strategy focused on the needs of a growing community. We paced our growth on a rate of expansion that is consistent with that of our community.
Since opening in 2009, we have focused on products and services that meet the needs of local residents, businesses, community development groups and visitors. Customer feedback, repeat clientele, online reviews and of course revenue growth indicate that we are effectively delivering value to those that we serve.
Tampa is a city with rich culture and history, full of potential and stacked with people, businesses and community resources that exist to ensure long term growth and sustainability. City Bike Tampa is proud to be a positive contributor toward urban excellence in Tampa.
