If you haven’t heard of PEDEGO™ electric bicycles, please allow us to introduce you to an experience unlike what you may have expected from an electric bicycle.

In Stock NOW! Call or visit us for a test ride.
PEDEGO™ was conceived in 2007 to create a line of electric bikes that combine style and function to open up cycling to anyone who might otherwise not be getting the benefits from bike riding. PEDEGO™ electric bikes make biking much more accessible to the 98% of the population who aren’t currently cyclists.

PEDEGO™ designed all of its electric bikes to offer a new and promising alternative form of urban transportation. They provide all the advantages of a regular bicycle: fun, exercise, free parking, zero emissions and freedom from gridlock while eliminating one of the bicycle’s more serious drawbacks, lack of power.

Fundamentally, a PEDEGO™ bike is just like a regular bicycle with a quiet built-in electric hub motor to provide additional assistance. You can pedal normally and just use the motor to help out or use the motor all the time just to make riding easier. The experience is entirely different from riding a gas scooter or motorbike. The electric assistance is perfectly smooth and silent which complements, rather than supplants, human power.

Weather permitting, we will be heading out for a 15 – 20 mile spin tomorrow (Thursday, 7/14/2011) night, leaving the shop at 7:15 pm. Here is the route we will be taking. If you have any questions about our regular (not URT) rides, please feel free to give Kevin a call at the shop (813-225-1777).
We look forward to riding with you. Ride on!
A close friend who lives at Post Harbour Island Apartments informed us today of an incident that occurred over the weekend involving the theft of pretty much every bicycle in their gated bike parking area.
Apparently, the thieves cut through the chain link fence then proceeded to cut the cable locks on ALMOST every bicycle in the storage area and got away with an estimated 20 bicycles.
If you were a victim of this attack and have had your bicycle serviced at our shop within the past 2 years, we should have your bicycle’s serial number in our customer database. Give us a call (813-225-1777) if you need that information so you can report it to the Tampa Police Department. If your bicycle is stolen and you are not able to give TPD the serial number from the bottom bracket (or head tube on older bicycles), your chances of recovery are EXACTLY 0%.
Incidentally, our friend who told us of what she found when she went to retrieve her bicycle from the crime scene did not get her bike stolen because it was secured with an On Guard U-Lock that she purchased from us at the time she bought her Jamis Coda from City Bike Tampa. The majority of bicycles that were stolen from the apartment complex were secured with cable locks, which are not worth the time it takes to put them on.
If you were a victim of this attack on Post Harbour Island Apartments over the weekend and would like to purchase a new bicycle from City Bike Tampa in the month of June 2011, we will throw in a FREE On Guard U-Lock ($40 value) with the purchase of your new bike and proof of residency.
Not only does this month’s itinerary include a bonus 6th destination (more delicious food!), we are also celebrating summertime with an ode to Ybor City featuring 5 hot Ybor favorites to get your palate dancing in full Flamenco fashion!

Grab your cigar cutter and join us for the most fun you can have on 2 wheels, Tuesday June 21st or Thursday June 30th (or both…why not? Ya gotta eat.) as we roll out to these smokin’ hot destinations…
Last month’s Tuesday night ride sold out in 10 days and the Thursday evening ride sold out on less than 48 hours. DON’T HESITATE.
(Space is Limited to 100 Guests — Cash Payment Accepted at Registration)
