- 5:45 to 6:40 – Sail Pavilion at the Tampa Convention Center – Sign-In Location & BikeSmart Safety Class
- 7:00 to 7:50 – Sunday’s Fine Dining – Ybor City
- 8:05 to 8:55 – TinaTapas and the Boat House – Channelside
- 9:10 to 11:00 – WaterWorks Bar & Grill and the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel – Pool Party and Raffle Prizes
- 6:00 to 6:30 – BikeSmart Safety Class – Free class offered as part of the May National Bike Month celebration

For the 120+ of you who reserved your spots on time, the long awaited itinerary for this Thursday evening is below.
1) 6:00-6:45 Martini Republic – Sign In Location — Tampa and Franklin Streets
2) 7:05-7:55 That’s Amore – Harbour Island – Serving Tomato Basil Bruschetta and Penne ala Vodka
3) 8:10-9:00 Zudar’s – Platt Street – Serving Cuban Sandwiches and Ensalada de Cuba Salad
4) 9:10-10:00 Hooters – Channelside – Serving Chicken Wings, Fries, Cheese Quesadillas and more
As usual, we will be raffling off roughly $250 in prizes and our host restaurants are totally PUMPED for our visits this week.

Group Ride to the Buddhist Thai Temple
More formally known as Wat Mongkolratanaram of Florida. If you have never been there, this is what over 50 Yelpers have to say about it.
We will be meeting at the City Bike Tampa Rental Hut location on the Riverwalk between the Tampa Convention Center and The Tampa Waterside Marriott at 10:30am on Sunday morning.
This is a free-to-participate event. The temple does not accept credit cards as it is not actually a restaurant (the Yelp reviews will help you to understand more about what this means). If you decide to join us with the intentions of eating when you get there, remember to hit the ATM before meeting up with us at 10:30.

Saturday, March 31
The fourth Annual Cigar City Brewing Criterium and Street Festival – presented by Bright House Networks and produced by the Tampa Downtown Partnership will take place in Tampa’s Downtown in and around Lykes Gaslight Square on Saturday, March 31 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The free community event has activities for all ages and skill levels.
More than 600 cycling amateurs and professionals from across the country will compete in urban high-speed short course races known in cycling circles as a crit.
While the athletes compete in all-day races, the street festival will be in full swing. Spectators can watch the race or demos of bike polo and roller derby, or browse through the Sports, Health and Wellness Expo.
City Bike Tampa has sponsored, designed and produced this years OFFICIAL RACE T-SHIRT and we will be in the expo area on Twiggs selling them until they are gone!
The premier sponsor, United Healthcare, is hosting a Fit Kids Duathlon. The Kids Zone will offer bike decorating, helmet giveaways and fun. Participants can ride their bikes to the event to take advantage of the free “GoByke!” bike valet parking and bike safety check. There will be prizes and giveaways for participants and spectators. Tampa Bay Lightning Invites You to City Bike Night – It is St. Patrick’s Day and we are rolling out to watch the Bolts slam the Blues. Check out the promo flyer for deeply discounted ticketing options.
The itinerary for the evening looks like this:
- (5:00 – 6:30) Meet up at Pizza Fusion (map)
- (6:30 – 6:45) Ride to Tampa Bay Times Forum – They will have a bike corral set up with attendants to check us in. Tickets can be purchased at the advertised price upon arrival for any riders who still need them.
- (7:00) Game Time! – Tickets can also be purchased in advance by calling (813.301.6735) or you can email Josh Jones at the Forum and mention “City Bike Night” should you have questions or require additional information.
