Ride On!
For those of you who have been following City Bike Tampa for some time now, you know that these rides have become somewhat of a big deal, not just for us, but for the 5 carefully selected restaurants that make it into our lineup each time.
This go around we are featuring Sono Cafe (@ the TMA on Curtis Hixon Park), Pizzaiolo Bavaro on Franklin Street, Stumps Supper Club @ Channelside, New World Brewery on 8th Ave in Ybor City and our close neighbor, Fly Bar and Restaurant.
Complete details including stop off times are in the flyer, which you may have seen around town or can simply download in .pdf format here (1.69MB).
This time around we were also fortunate enough to obtain sponsorship from tbt* (*Tampa Bay Times), which has helped us grow our RSVP list to well over 50 riders. At this point, we are expecting close to 100 people on this ride. Details on how you can RSVP are in the tbt* ad above and also in the promo flyer (1.69MB).
We look forward to seeing you this Thursday night!
Ride on!
It is finally here… the much anticipated Urban Restaurant Hop is THIS Thursday (5/27/2010) leaving from our Rental Hut on the Riverwalk @ 6pm.
This organized cycling event is in celebration of National Bike Month. The one we had in March for Florida Bike Month was so much fun and well received that you certainly do not want to miss this one.
This time we’re rolling out to 5 new hot spots around downtown including:
Download the ride schedule here.
Kick off the Holiday weekend early! Join us for an evening on the town, meet others with similar interests (like bicycling and eating) and help local independent businesses shine while experiencing the ease of taking a bicycle and not a car.
This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike) Event. Participants ride at their own risk. City Bike Tampa nor the restaurants/pubs involved with the event are responsible for cyclists. We have asked the participating venues to provide food for our group. the decision to imbibe is being left up to each individual rider.
In compliance with state law, we are requiring lights and strongly encouraging helmets for the ride.
Lights will be sold and installed at a discounted price of $10.00/set if needed.
RSVP to City Bike Tampa: (813) 225-1777 or via Facebook.
(Note: RSVP’s requested but not mandatory to participate)
Thanks to those who participated in FL Bike Month activities this past March. We now turn our attention to May, National Bike Month. Again, we have teamed up with the Tampa BayCycle campaign to offer many opportunities for all skill levels.
